A Supportive Partnership
When you come to Carpenters Food & Support, you become part of a community that cares about your wellbeing. We want every visit to feel safe, respectful, and dignified.
This agreement explains what you can expect from us, and what helps us support you well. You will be asked to read and sign it at your first appointment.
Welcome to Carpenters Food & Support
Our friendly team is here to treat you with respect and kindness.
Our aim is to help you improve things so you can cope on your own. Your progress and well-being matters to us. We will support you through the process towards closing your case as soon as possible.
Before we accept you as a client, you will be asked to sign that you have read and agree to our Client Agreement.
Expected Behaviour

Please respect our volunteers and others using the Centre.

Please respect everyone’s privacy at all times.

Please give others space and keep chats private so everyone feels safe.

If you feel you have not been treated well, please speak to the Manager— your concerns will be listened to.

Anyone being aggressive or under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave.

Selling or trading food items will result in an automatic case closure.
Appointments
Our sessions run on Wednesdays between 12pm and 2.30pm. You will be given your own appointment time.

Please keep to your appointment time

Please let us know as soon as you can if you need to change or cancel your appointment. If you arrive late, we will try to fit you in, but you may need to wait.

Please bring shopping bags and any information we have asked for.
If you cannot attend, you may send someone else to collect your food — just tell us their name. If you miss two appointments in a row your case will be closed.
At Your First Appointment

Tell us about any dietary needs in your household.

Let us know if there are foods you won’t use — this helps us reduce waste and support others.
At Each Visit

A registrar will talk with you so we can understand how best to help.

You may be asked to bring more information.

Most cases remain open for up to 4 weeks from your first appointment.
On Our Part

We are committed to supporting you with dignity and care.

Your case will be reviewed weekly by the management team.

Your files will be kept safe and secure. We will not share it without your permission unless required by law.

You may request to see your file by contacting the Manager.

We may use some nameless quotes and statistics to help raise our profile.

All food and other items we provide are donated. What we have varies each week. We will always do our best to meet your needs.
