Making New Friends!

South Bristol is welcoming more refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants, many of whom are navigating life here without English as their first language.

Seeing this need amongst some of our clients, one of our team reached out to Borderlands and City of Sanctuary at the Assisi Centre, who support people on their journey from exclusion to belonging through free English lessons, social activities, and practical help. 

Thanks to this new connection, we now have multilingual information sheets—including Somali and Farsi—to enable us to signpost these clients to the support they need and strengthen the sense of welcome in our community.
