Running for Change: Charlotte & Tony Raise £1,582.75 at the 2012 Bristol Half Marathon
A Remarkable Achievement for Our Community
Back in 2012, Charlotte Forge and Tony McDonald took on the Bristol Half Marathon with one clear goal: to make a meaningful difference for local families. With determination, training, and a huge amount of heart, they completed the 13.1 mile challenge — and raised an incredible £1,582.75 in the process.
Their effort wasn’t just about crossing the finish line. Every mile they ran helped support the work of The Matthew Tree Project and The Carpenters Foodstore, turning a personal challenge into a powerful act of community support.
A-MA-ZING Generosity
The final total — £1,582.75 — was nothing short of AMAZING.
Friends, family, colleagues, and supporters rallied behind them, donating generously and cheering them on every step of the way.
Their achievement remains one of our standout fundraising moments, showing how individual commitment can spark collective kindness.
A Huge Thank You
From everyone at The Matthew Tree Project and The Carpenters Foodstore, a heartfelt thank you to Charlotte and Tony. Their 2012 run continues to inspire us today, reminding us of the incredible things people can do when they run — quite literally — for their community.
